My favorite blog of all time is Muybridge's Horse. It's run by artist Emma Keisel,  and it's a blog and archive featuring artists who are interested in the ways in which humans interact with and experience animals and nature.  In short, I know I can find almost every artist I've been inspired by on the blog!  I'm really happy to be featured on there thanks to Emma's nice write-up on my work.

Finalists have been announced for the 2014 Clarence John Laughlin Award through the New Orleans Photo Alliance, and I'm in the running. Beyond humbled right now. I'll be shipping my portfolio for review to Mr. Del Zogg, Manager, Works on Paper & Photography Collections and Study Center at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston!

I have to admit, back when I was in photography class, I recall being told to check out Clarence John Laughlin's work a few times. It's of no surprise to me that I feel a connection to what he sought to do through photography, in addition to his own  background as a writer.

I got online to see this image was shared in a LensCulture post featuring one of my images online! The Internet is pretty remarkable in the fact that just by getting 700 views alone, this is probably the most an image of mine has been disseminated before, which is pretty neat! Definitely a nice surprise.
