SOHO Alternative Processes show

Got an acceptance with a Cyanotype in a show at the SOHO Photo Gallery in New York juried by Jill Enfield.

9TH ANNUAL JURIED ALTERNATIVE PROCESSES COMPETITION 2013

If you walk down the street at any time in most cities, you are bound to run into tons of people taking pictures with every type of camera possible. What do you do with the pictures once you have captured them? Well, according to the images I saw while judging the Soho Photo Alternative Process Show – many photographers are re-entering their darkrooms to turn images into tactile, interesting and in some cases, three-dimensional pieces of art.

It was very exciting to see so much work that has been changed by not only color but also the artist’s intent. Repurposing older images and combining techniques can make you wonder if everything really has been done before. I don’t think so. These images are worth taking a look at.  --- Jill Enfield
